A Vegan Journey
I'm transitioning to a vegan diet after 18 years as a vegetarian. I've flirted with a vegan diet many times in the past. This time I'll document my journey here. I'll let you know right now I'll be inconsistent and contradict myself. (Just so we're clear.) Of course I don't plan to limit this to food-only posts. As the blog name might imply, I'll be approaching everything with energy and vitality.

My daughter was a vegetarian for about three years, though now she does occasionally eat poultry and fish. She still avoids the red meat.
While it was a pain for us to cater to her 'special dietary needs' at first, I learned about many of the benifits of a semi-vegetarian diet. I haven't given up meat entirely, but thanks to her, I eat more vegetables now than I ever did. I feel better than I have in years, and am starting to lose part of my 50% cheeseburger body fat.
I wish you a lot of luck with your decision. It takes a lot of guts and heart to do what you are doing.
